IRON MORAVIAN Z ARNULTOVIC

Iron came to join our Moravian family at age of eight weeks. We picked him as the cutest puppy from the litter.

We knew the quality of both parents and we did believed that he will be not only the best of the best, but also inherit the high intelligence level after his parents. When he arrived he had a little bit longer coat but not as a long coated German Shepherd. Iron was born from short coated parents.

Sire: Tiras vom Roten Feld   x   Dam: Anne z Arnultovic

Nobody in his 6 generation pedigree actually had a longer coat. See Iron's pedigree.

As it is proven " After all these years of breeding, still in some litters appear now and then puppies with longer hair. If it does happen, this particular litter is usually a good one, because the sires and dams, which were used, are carrying the genes of many years ago. The long-hair shepherd has usually a very strong boned body structure and comes along with a very good nature and a great character." (Information used from House-Barrett German web site.)

This is actually very true about our male Iron. Iron was around 100 lbs in age of just 8 months, he is large boned male with best personality ever.

From our own experience we can confirm that longer coated Shepherds do possess a great balanced temperament, good nature and great loyalty to the family. They are protective, but not over-protective, they have the same drive and eagerness to be trained for obedience and protection.

These dogs make exceptional companions.

All our lives we have been always very strict with sticking to the FCI standard and rules, but at this point we do feel that just because of his longer coat the dog is not fairly treated from entering the show ring.

I've been a dog trainer for police and army for many years and Iron makes the impression of the most balanced temperament and personality I have ever seen in any dog. Iron is very easy trained. His intelligence and genes for obedience and protection training has been inherited trough his parents and ancestors from his pedigree.

At age of 12 months Iron showed active interest in personal protection training, in which he is getting enormous results. Iron is very well balanced, not agressive towards people or animals, but also very protective of his human family. Iron is very confident dog in his personality and doesn't attack for no reason. On following video you can see his attack (at age of 14 months) on a distance of 100 yards. Please notice how people standing on the side with their dogs. Iron doesn't pay any attention to this distraction (as some dogs would) and he focuses 100% on the decoy. After the sleeve goes down Iron is completely calm with no interest of further attack.
